Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in Asia and has been practiced for over three thousands years. Acupuncture treatments stimulate specific points in the body by inserting very fine (hair-thin) needles superficially through the skin. Acupuncture operates using the body's Qi (pronounced chi), the energy in the body. This network of energy connects organs and parts of the body. Pain and illnesses occur when the flow of Qi is disrupted. The proper acu-points are stimulated with the needles to rebalance and restore the even flow of Qi throughout the body and remove blockages in the pathways, relieving pain and other symptoms.

It is based on the premise that a spinal joint dysfunction can interfere with the nervous system and result in many different conditions of diminished health.
